On January 6, 2000, Father Simon Pai, formerly of Our Lady of Peace Church, and former Chaplain and Honorary Chief of the Lynbrook Fire Department, passed away.  Father Pai was also an associate member of Hose Company #1.   On January 9, 2007, the members of the Lynbrook Fire Department, including the Ladies Auxiliary and the Junior Fire Department, held a memorial service for Father Pai inside Our Lady of Peace Church.   On January 10, the Department attended the funeral of Father Pai.  In the attached photos members of the Lynbrook Fire Department walk along side the hearse carrying Father Pai's coffin as it passes under one of Lynbrook's ladders, and one belonging to the Lakeview Fire Department.
