On Saturday morning February 28, 2004 the Lynbrook Fire Department held a training drill at a house at 44 Winthrop Street.

The dwelling was scheduled for demolition and provided the Lynbrook Volunteers with an ideal training resource. The owner of the property graciously let the Lynbrook Fire Department use the building for training purposes.
