Each year, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Lynbrook Fire Department presents a Scholarship Award to an active member of the Lynbrook Junior Fire Department graduating high school.  This year's award winner was Thomas Byrne, a graduate of Lynbrook High School, who is presently attending SUNY Oneonta.  In the above photo, Kathy Festa of the Ladies Auxiliary Scholarship Committee presents the $500 award to Thomas as his parents Heidi Byrne and his father, Emergency Medical Company Captain James Byrne, join in.
