Pickup Crashes into Building

On October 1, 2018, shortly after midnight, the Lynbrook Fire Department, under the command of Chief William Abrams, was dispatched to a reported car into a building at the Rustic Loft business on Sunrise Highway west of Atlantic Avenue.  Firefighters found a pickup on the sidewalk and the window frame of the Rustic Loft destroyed.  The driver was arrested by the Lynbrook police who had also responded to the scene.  The driver was charged with DUI.  Firefighters secured the vehicle and inspected the structure of the storefront.
