Lakeview Garage Fire Mutual Aid

On August 24, 2018, shortly after 2 PM, the Lynbrook Fire Department was called on a mutual aid to the Lakeview Fire Department for a garage fire.  Rockville Centre and Malverne Fire Departments were also called and responded.  When Lakeveiw firefighters arrived they found a fully-involved old wooden and rotting garage fully involved in fire.  The fire was so intense that it melted the siding with a rear portion of the home catching fire on the outside wall. The garage collapsed just after firefighters arrived.  Member of Hose Company and Vulcan Company joined up and responded led by First Assistant Chief Nick Pearsall.  Second Assistant Chief Michael Brooks was also at the scene.  Firefighters were at the scene for about 45 minutes.
