On Memorial Day morning, May 28, 2018, Chief William Abrams led the department, Ladies Auxiliary, and Junior firefighters, in the annual Memorial Day service at the Firefighters Memorial on Sunrise Highway and Earle Avenue.  The Mayor, Village Board, and other elected officials were also on hand for this annual service which recognizes and remembers two members of Truck Company and two members of Hose Company who made the supreme sacrifice in World War II.  Members of Hose and Truck placed wreaths on their member's stones while the chiefs presented the department wreath.  After the parade that followed this service, the chiefs and members of Tally-Ho attended the Village of Lynbrook's memorial service at the Doughboy Monument.  There, Tally-Ho placed a wreath on the stone of Ex-Captain Jeff Wiener who was killed in Iraq in 2005.
