2018 Motorcycle Run for Wounded Warriors

On September 22, 2018, the Lynbrook Fire Department's Wounded Warrior Committee hosted its first Motorcycle Run for Wounded Warriors, and prior to the Concert for Wounded Warriors later that day.  The run, chaired by PJ Curran, went from Lynbrook out to Captree State Park and back to Lynbrook.  The run had an escort by three Nassau County Police motorcycles.  Four wounded warriors from the Wounded Warrior Battalion at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, were special guests and rode in Unit 426-1 behind the motorcycles.  After the run the riders returned to attend the concert. Each rider was given a commemorative pin of the event.  The department plans to hold another run next year.
