On November 10, 2018, a team of Lynbrook firefighters played a team from the Lynbrook Baptist Church to raised money for Nassau County Firefighters Operation Wounded Warrior and the Lynbrook Council of PTA's.  the game was played in the gym of the Lynbrook High School.  This is the third year that the Baptist Church has challenged the firefighters in basketball.  They had previously played against each other in softball.  The firefighters won this year's basketball game and now have a 2-1 lead.   The game raised a total of $8530 which was split between NCFF-OWW and the Council of PTA's.
