Lynbrook firefighters responded to a reported car fire on Sunrise Highway at Peninsula Blvd on March 24, 2019 just before 9AM.  The department which was under the command of Chief William Abrams had been dispatched on a general alarm response.  Hose Company was first on the scene and stretched one line to the burning vehicle.  Other fire companies assisted with the overhaul once the fire was extinguished.  The car was completely destroyed.
