Auto Accident - Sunrise Hwy & Earle Ave.

On December 15th, 2018, a couple of hours after the annual Christmas fire truck rides for the children of Lynbrook, the department responded to an auto accident at Sunrise Highway and Earle Avenue.  The driver of a vehicle, which was heading west on Sunrise, slammed into a parked car on the westbound right shoulder at Earle Avenue.  The Extrication Team from Truck Company and the Emergency Medical Company responded under the command of Chief William Abrams.  Northwell Health also responded and assisted.  The driver was removed from the wrecked vehicle on a stretcher.  She was taken by Unit 425 to the hospital in non-serious condition.
