LFD Accepts Donated Toys for Wounded Warriors Children

On December 6, 2018, Lynbrook firefighters Richard Straub and this writer, and joined by Joe O'Grady of the Floral Park Fire Department, attended the annual American Public Works Association, Long Island Branch's Christmas celebration, to accept toys brought by their members that would be given to the children of our wounded service men and women beginning the next day when Lynbrook firefighters and other Nassau County firefighters travel to Bethesda and Fort Belvoir to bring Christmas to the wounded and their families.  O'Grady, Chairman of Nassau County Firefighters Operation Wounded Warrior spoke to the assembled members to thank them for their annual donation of toys.
