Firefighters - Then & Now

Twenty years ago, four youngsters, from left to right in top photo, five-year old Peter Germain, three-year old Brian Donald, four-year old Dylan Bien, and nine-year old James DiGiambattista, climbed into the bucket of Lynbrook's Rescue, Hook and Ladder Company's ladder truck 427 on Memorial Day 1999.  Last year, those same youngsters, now men, and all Lynbrook firefighters and members of Rescue, Hook and Ladder Company, climbed back into the bucket of a newer 427 ladder truck to pose in the same positions as in the first photo.  Dylan Bien is now the Second Lieutenant and James DiGiambattista is Captain of Truck Company.
