On November 18, 2017 the Lynbrook Fire Department and the Lynbrook Baptist Church got together at Lynbrook High School for the second annual charity basketball game to benefit Nassau County Firefighters Operation Wounded Warrior and the Lynbrook Community Chest. Members of the church, including Pastor Bob Walderman, squared off against members of the Department which comprised of members from all companies including the Junior Fire Department.

The Lynbrook Baptist Church was victorious this year, winning by a score of 69 - 59. More than $4000 was raised for each of the organizations.
