Lynbrook Juniors to Compete in the NYS State Parade in Hopes of a Sweep Story by Dan Neri - Photos by Jenn Abrams
On
Sunday, August 20, 2017 the Lynbrook Junior Fire Department will
be competing for their first New York State Championship after
recently winning the 4th
Battalion Parade and the Nassau County Parade. The parade will be
held in West Hempstead.
In the last fifteen years, the Juniors have won the County five
times and the 4th
Battalion fifteen times. An impressive run for an incredible group
of dedicated young men and women. Under the leadership of Captain Colleen Germain, they are hoping to sweep the 2017 parade season. The members of the Lynbrook Fire Department, the Juniors families and friends, as well as the Village of Lynbrook hope to celebrate their victory on August 20 th. |
