On the afternoon of April 24, 2018 the Lynbrook Fire Department responded on a mutual aid to the Valley Stream Fire Department for a Signal 10 house fire to a residence on the corner of Watts Street and Mill Road.   The fire was located in the upstairs bedroom and was blowing out both bedroom windows when firefighters arrived.  Lynbrook FD Third Assistant Chief John Donald and members from Hose Company responded to the scene.  Hose Company members provided assistance on a line operating upstairs.
