The poem's author is Paul Hickey a former resident of East Rockaway and a US Air Force veteran. He was a government employee for 40 years. He now lives in Myrtle Beach, SC. Paul was involved in the FDNY's Brooklyn Wall of Remembrance at Coney Island.  He formed 6 Angels Productions to promote his writings, music and videos about the military and First Responders.  Paul gave our department and NCFF-OWW permission to use his soldier song and video.  He also gave the department permission to use his video of the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service.  He has now written and sent us the below poem about the Lynbrook Fire Department's Memorial on Sunrise Highway. The framed copy of the poem will be hung in fire headquarters.
