On October 17, 2007, the Lynbrook Elks Club held their Annual Fireman Awards Night.  The Elks honored a firefighter from each of the Lynbrook, Malverne, East Rockaway, Lakeview, Rockville Center, and Valley Stream Fire Departments.  Honorary Commissioner and Ex-Chief Dominick DeCarlo, a 60 year member of Tally-Ho Engine 3, was the Lynbrook Fire Department honoree. Chief Robert Occhipinti read the presentation and then Dominick was presented with a plaque from the Exalted Ruler of the Elks honoring his dedication and commitment to the community.
