On Saturday, October 23, 2010, the Lynbrook Fire Department responded to a working car fire in the parking lot along Peninsula Blvd, between Earle and Vincent Avenues.  Truck Company, Vulcan Company and Hose Company responded to the scene under the command of First Deputy Chief Mike Hynes.   The fire was quickly extinguished with an inch and half line off of Vulcan Company.  Firefighters were at the scene for about 20 minutes.
