Multiple Injuries at Another Sunrise Highway Accident

On Friday, October 9, 2009, at about 9:40 AM, and two and one half hours after the first Sunrise Highway accident that morning, the Lynbrook Fire Department’s Emergency Medical Company and the department’s Extrication Team, responded this time to a two car accident at the intersection of Sunrise Highway and Vincent Avenue. 

Firefighters under the command of Second Deputy Chief Mike Hynes found multiple aided upon arrival on the scene.  Medical Company personnel stabilized the injured and took two of the injured along with two children and a baby to the hospital, while East Rockaway’s Rescue Squad who responded on a mutual aid assisted at the scene and transported another of the aided.
