Car Hits Tree on Peninsula Blvd.

Story and Photos by Ex-Captain Steve Grogan

On Friday, March 27, 2009, at approximately 3 PM, the Lynbrook Fire Department was dispatched to a reported car into a tree on Peninsula Blvd near Remsen Street.

Unit 425 from the Emergency Medical Company, and Unit 4262, the Extrication Team, under the direction of Chief John O'Reilly, responded to the scene.  Firefighters upon arrival found that the driver of a small two-seat convertible had allegedly, according to the police at the scene, blacked-out, and jumped the curb while driving on Peninsula, and hit a tree.

The driver was stabilized by the fire-medics and transported to the hospital.
