On Sunday, May 10, 2012, the Fourth Battalion Fire District, which includes the East Rockaway, Lakeview, Lynbrook, Malverne, and Rockville Centre Fire Departments, held their annual fundraiser to support the Nassau County Firefighters Burn Center Foundation. The event was held at the Tally-Ho firehouse on Horton Avenue.

The Stitch band donated their talents and played the whole day. The Nassau County Firefighters Pipes and Drums also made an appearance and played for the firefighters who came out to support the Burn Center which is located at the Nassau University Medical Center.
