Mutual Aid to Malverne

On April 15, 2012, at approximately 9 PM, the Malverne Fire Department responded to a house fire at 86 Scarcliffe Drive. Upon arrival they found the rear of a one story dwelling full involved in fire. The photos, taken from video, shows the intense fire engulfing the home. The Lynbrook Fire Department, led by Chief Michael Hynes, was called on a mutual aid as were a number of other neighboring departments. Lynbrook's Hose Company was dispatched to the scene while the rest of the department stood-by in their respective quarters. The fire was brought under control in about 30 minutes.
