On Saturday, June 28, 2014, the Lynbrook Fire Department took part in the annual Fourth Battalion Parade which was held in Lakeview this year.  After the parade, which went from West Hempstead High School on Nassau Blvd to Hempstead Avenue to Maple Avenue, the departments and their guests gathered in Hemstead Lake State Park off Southern State Parkway exit 18.  When the awards were presented at the end of the night Lynbrook FD was awarded second place in the battalion (behind the hosts Lakeview).  Lynbrook Juniors took first place in the battalion and took first place overall.
