On Saturday, June 25, 2011, the Lynbrook Fire Department took home all the trophies as the Best Appearing fire department in the Fourth Battalion, which encompasses the volunteers fire departments of Lynbrook, East Rockaway, Rockville Centre, Lakeview, and Malverne. Lynbrook also took home first place trophies for the best Ladies Auxiliary, the best Junior Fire Department, and the best marching band. This is the fourth year in a row that Lynbrook has won this annual parade. The parade was held in Malverne to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the forming of the Malverne Fire Department.

On the evening before, the Lynbrook Fire Department Tumblers Drill Team finished second in ladder and hose competition in the Annual Fourth Battalion Drill and finished second overall amongst 18 fire department teams that competed. The drill was held at the Rockville Centre FD training center.
