On Sunday, August 22nd, thanks to the efforts of First Deputy Chief Michael Hynes, a Port Authority Police Officer, the Lynbrook Junior Fire Department, their advisors, and a couple of department members, travelled to JFK Airport to tour the Port Authority's fire and rescue facilities at the airport.  The juniors also got a chance to take a ride out on the taxiway in one of their crash trucks.  Since the Juniors were formed in 1979 this is the third time that the juniors have toured the fire facilities at the airport.  The Juniors thank Deputy Chief Hynes and the Port Authority Police for their hospitality.
