On Sunday, September 8, 2013, the members of Floodlight Unit 1 of the Lynbrook Fire Department celebrated the 75th Anniversary of the Unit and also honored two past captains of the Unit at an afternoon dinner at the Bridgeview Yacht Club in Island Park.  Ex-Captain, Ex-Chief, and past Commission of the Nassau County Fire Commission Robert Cribbin was the MC for the gala event.  Past Captains and Ex-Chiefs James Hillgardner and John Matzen were honored for their service.  Additionally, a number of elected officials from the state, town and village honored the Unit and the ex-captains.
