Under snowy skies and bitter cold temperatures, the volunteers of the Lynbrook Fire Department, under the command of Chief Kevin Bien, held their Annual Christmas Fire Truck Rides from the Earle Avenue parking field on Saturday, December 19, 2009.  The children of Lynbrook got a chance to ride on Lynbrook's fire vehicles from noon to 3 PM that day and also got a chance to meet with Santa Claus in Truck Company's firehouse on Earle Avenue.  Lynbrook volunteers have been holding this annual Christmas event since the 1950's.  The chairman of this year's rides was Garrett Gulliksen of Truck Company.    Chief Bien, on behalf of all the volunteers, offers his best wishes to the residents of Lynbrook for a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year, and a fire safe year.
