Medical Company Assists Lakeview

On the afternoon of Saturday, April 3, 2010, the Emergency Medical Company of the Lynbrook Fire Department responded on a mutual aid to the Lakeview Fire Department for an auto accident with multiple aided in the eastbound lanes of Southern State Parkway between exits 17 (Malverne) and 16 (Eagle Avenue). 
Lakeview firefighters and EMS personnel found a three vehicle accident with five adults and one child who needed medical aid.  Besides calling Lynbrook, which was under the command of Chief Kevin Bien, additional ambulances from the Franklin Square and West Hempstead Fire Departments assisted Lakeview.  The ambulances transported the injured to Mercy Hospital for treatment.  Traffic on Southern State Parkway was backed up for miles while the rescue was in operation.
