After a busy afternoon for our Lynbrook FD volunteers on December 29, 2008, the Emergency Medical Company and the Department's Extrication Team responded at about 6:30 PM to a reported auto accident at the intersection of Merrick Road and Ocean Avenue.  Both fire units, under the direction of Chief John O'Reilly, and working together, removed two injured occupants from one car.  They were placed on stretchers and transported in Unit 425 to South Nassau Community Hospital.
