On Sunday morning May 27, 2012, the Lynbrook Fire Department was dispatched to a reported auto accident at the intersection of Ocean Avenue and Merrick Road. The Emergency Medical Company, and the Extrication Team, responded to the scene. One person, a pregnant female, who was in the front seat of the vehicle which was t-boned by the second vehicle, was removed from the passenger seat on a stretcher by the EMT's. She was transported in 425A to the hospital. All others in the two vehicles refused medical attention. Lynbrook police were also on the scene.
