On Saturday, October 1, 2011, the Lynbrook Baptist Church sponsored a benefit softball game to benefit the Lynbrook Fire Department and the Nassau County Coalition on Domestic Violence.  The game was played at Greis Park.  This is the second year the Lynbrook Baptist Church has held this charity game.  The game, played under the lights at the park, pitted a team from the church against the volunteers of the fire department.  The firefighters won.  The check for the monies raised will be presented by the Pastor of Lynbrook Baptist Church to Michael Hynes, Chief of Department, at the October 17^th village board meeting.
