On Sunday, May 3, 2009, Denton Avenue, between Merrick Road and Peninsula Boulevard was renamed in honor of Ex-Chief and Former Commissioner Ronald P. Festa.  Festa served the Lynbrook Fire Department for 45 years.  During that time, Festa served on the Company level as a line officer, at the Department level rising through the ranks of Chief, and also a Commissioner for the Battalion. 

The renaming of Denton Avenue will serve as a fitting and lasting tribute to a man who selflessly gave of himself to the Lynbrook Community.
