On Monday morning May 31st, 2010, the members of the Lynbrook Fire Department, led by Chief Raymond Burke, along with the Ladies Auxiliary and Junior Fire Department gathered at the Firefighter's Memorial with the mayor and other village officials and religious leaders to remember four Lynbrook volunteers, two from Truck Company and two from Hose Company, who were killed in battle in World War II.
