Medical Company Aids Pedestrian Stuck

Story and Photos by Ex-Captain Steve Grogan

On October 15, 2008, at approximately 4:40 PM, the Lynbrook Fire Department's Emergency Medical Company was dispatched to a "pedestrian struck" on Hempstead Avenue in front of the Knights of Columbus Hall.

The pedestrian, a woman senior citizen, was immediately assisted by passersby and arriving Lynbrook police officers until EMT's from the Medical Company arrived on the scene and stabilized the woman.

She was then transported in the new 425A to the hospital.
