As is the custom in the Village of Lynbrook, Santa Claus arrived on the Saturday after Thanksgiving on a Lynbrook fire truck to a crowd of waiting children.  Truck Company's Unit 428 brought Santa to the Earle Avenue parking field on a sunny but windy and chilly November 28th morning. 

Lynbrook's Floodlight Unit was also on hand and provided the Christmas music while Santa greeted each of the children that stood behind barricades waiting to meet Santa.  Many presented Santa with letters. 

The event was sponsored by the Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce.  After meeting Santa, the children then proceeded to the Lynbrook movie theatre for a movie.  First Deputy Chief Ray Burke was in charge.
