Chamber Donates to Wounded Warriors

At the Lynbrook Village Board Meeting held on September 10, 2012, the Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce presented donation checks supporting LFD's upcoming fundraiser for Nassau County Firefighters Operation Wounded Warrior that will be held on September 30th. The fundraiser, called Community Concerts for the Troops, will be LFD's second annual fundraiser for Operation Wounded Warrior of which Lynbrook firefighters are active members. The chamber presented a check of $250 from one of their weekly car shows plus a second check from the Chamber organization of $1000. Members of the Chamber, including president Bill Gaylor, presented the checks to fundraiser committee chairperson Ex-Chief Kevin Bien, and Ex-Captain Richard Straub The mayor and village board were on hand for the presentation.
