On Sunday, September 17, 2006, the members of the Lynbrook Fire Department traveled to the Fireman’s Home in upstate Hudson, NY, for the First Annual Nassau-Suffolk Day at the home.  The Lynbrook Fire Department has one member, Ex-Captain Nick Marasco of Tally-Ho Engine Company 3, who now resides there.  The members of Tally-Ho and other department members marched in uniform in a parade with other Nassau and Suffolk Fire Departments around the complex which includes a new home that is nearing completion, and a Firefighter’s Museum.  The LFD was led by First Assistant Chief Robert Occhipinti, Second Assistant John O’Reilly and Third Assistant Chief Kevin Bien.  Nick Marasco’s wife Maryann, and daughter Denise, also traveled up to the home for the day.  The LFD members had a barbecue with Nick and spent time with him and his family.
