Patient's Life Saved

By Shannan Murphy, L.F.D. Press Liasion

An emergency medical response on April 27, 2004 found members of Lynbrook's Medical Company faced with an unconscious woman who was not breathing.  It was determined that the woman was chocking on food.  Ex-Captain David Linzer was the Officer in Charge for Medical Company.  "When we arrived, the woman was not breathing and was turning blue," Linzer explained.

3rd Assistant Chief, Robert Occhipini was in charge of the scene.  The patient was resuscitated and transported to South Nassau Communities Hospital for further treatment.
