On Sunday, November 16, 2003, the members of the Lynbrook Emergency Medical Company of the Lynbrook Fire Department dedicated their refurbished firehouse on Vincent Avenue off Sunrise Highway.  The Medical Company, the sixth company in the Lynbrook Fire Department, and which operates two fire department ambulances, was formed as a company from the department's Rescue Squad in 1991.  For the past six years they have been renting a former warehouse on Vincent Avenue while raising money to purchase their own firehouse.  Finally, in December 2002 the company got a mortgage and purchased the building on Vincent Avenue.  Over the past year the Medical Company has been refurbishing the building into Lynbrook's newest firehouse.
