On Wednesday afternoon, April 19, 2006, Chief Keith Festa's first full day in office, his Lynbrook's Vamps responded on a Still Alarm to a brush fire in the wooded area at the dead end of Leaman Place. Hose and Vulcan Companys responded to the scene. Hose Company stretched their booster line to attack the fire while Vulcan Company took the hydrant up the street. The fire was put out in about 10 minutes. No damage was done to nearby homes. (Photos by Brian Grogan, L.J.F.D.) |
