At the Lynbrook Fire Department Council Meeting held on Tuesday, April 20, 2004, Outgoing Chief John J. Crowley of Truck Company turned the reins of the Lynbrook Fire Department over to Incoming Chief David Pearsall of Engine Company. Chief Pearsall, along with his deputies, James McDermott of Truck Company, Keith Festa of Vulcan Company, and Robert Occhipinti of Engine Company, were sworn into office by Lynbrook Mayor Eugene Scarpato.

After the Chiefs were sworn, Lynbrook's Village Administrator Carol Hansen swore in the wardens of the Lynbrook Fire Department.

Chief Pearsall then swore in the elected officers of the five fire companies and the Medical Company that make up the Lynbrook Fire Department.
