The Lynbrook Fire Department’s Annual Installation and Testimonial Dinner was held on June 8, 2018 at the Milleridge Inn in Jericho and honored outgoing Chief Carl H. Lengel.  Also honored that evening were five members of the department who each have 50 years of service.  They are Ex-Chief Michael Chiaramonte who was named an Honorary Commissioner, while Jack Callahan, Steve Grogan, Lenny Llewellyn, and Gary Wargo, were all named Honorary Chiefs.   Greg Straub was also honored for 25 years of service and Larry Bien was named Firefighter of the Year.  Engine Company won the parade trophy for the 2017 season.

Ex-Chief Lengel in his comments to the department membership said, “I thank you all for your support in allowing me to serve you and make this wonderful journey one that will now define me for the rest of my life.  I am now and will always be an EX-CHIEF of the Lynbrook Fire Department.”
