Auto Accident on Sunrise Hwy. Near Bixley Heath

On the afternoon of December 12, 2018, the Lynbrook Fire Department was dispatched to a reported two-vehicle accident with possible pin on Sunrise Highway west of Bixley Heath.  The Extrication Team from Truck Company responded under the command of Chief William Abrams.  Lynbrook police determined that the vehicle that hit a tree along the roadway had collided first with the second car which was parked on the shoulder of the road with the occupant inside.  Neither drivers were pinned or seriously injured, but were treated by Northwell Health paramedics.  Both were transported.
