On March 31, 2016, the owners of the Lynbrook movie threatre on Merrick Road gave permission to the Lynbrook Fire Department to conduct a drill in the now closed movie threatre.  The department's training committee set up a number of evolutions on both the first and second floor threatres where most of the seats had been removed.   Charged lines were used in the training evolutions which was conducted in total darkness with the use of threatrical smoke machines.  The training last about three hours.  Everyone went back to Hose Company's quarters for food and refreshments.
