On Wednesday April 27, 2016, the Lynbrook Fire Department was alerted for a reported motor vehicle accident with possible person trapped at the intersection of Sunrise Highway and Forest Avenue. A woman had lost control of her car while driving through the municipal parking lot striking a parked car before hitting a metal electrical tower base. The driver, who was shaken up was checked out by Nassau Police Ambulance and refused medical attention. Tally-Ho Engine 3 responded and checked the vehicles for leaking fluid and stood by until the car was removed. Firefighters were on scene for a half hour.
