On Friday, September 15, 2017, the Floodlight Unit of the Lynbrook Fire Department held a dinner to honor the Unit's immediate Ex-Captain (and Ex-Chief) Robert Occhipinti at Da Gigi Trattoria and Bar (P-12) in Lynbrook.  State, Town and local officials were in attendance and presented Bobby with Citations for his service as the Floodlight Unit captain.  Bobby made a presentation to his lieutenants. Bobby's wife and the wife of the present captain, Ex-Chief Robert Cribbin, were not forgotten, and presented with bouquets of flowers.
