On November 28, 2015, just two days after Thanksgiving, and keeping with an over 50-year tradition in the Village of Lynbrook, Santa Claus arrived on Truck Company 427 to the delight of many village children who came out to greet and get a chance to tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas.  Chief James McDermott was also on hand as was the Floodlight Unit who provided Christmas carol music during the event as Santa went from child to child in the Earle Avenue parking lot.  The children then made there way to the soon to close Lynbrook movie threatre for a Christmas movie.
