On Saturday evening, June 8, 2013, the Lynbrook Fire Department held their Annual Installation and Dinner Dance at the Sands in Lido Beach. Immediate past chief, Anthony "Zemo" DeCarlo, was honored at the dinner. Ex-Chief DeCarlo was presented with his Ex-Chief's badge by Lynbrook Mayor William Hendrick, while the department, represented by Tally-Ho Captain Kyle Overs, presented him with a plaque with his helmet. The Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce then presented him a watch. Also at the dinner, three members of Engine Company, Bob Citkovic, and Larry and Bill Meyers were honored for 50 years of service. Additionally, Chief Edward Hynes ceremonially swore in the officers of the department, Ladies Auxiliary, and Junior Fire Department. Chief Hynes then escorted Mayor Hendrick while he conducted an inspection of the membership. Ex-Chief DeCarlo also presented the annual Parade Trophy to Engine Company for the most member attendance during last year's parade season.
