The Lynbrook Fire Department and its Juniors are CHAMPS again.  As part of the Lakeview Fire Department’s 100 Anniversary this year they sponsored the combined Fourth Battalion and Southern New York Firefighter’s Parades on Saturday evening, June 13, 2009.  Lynbrook, the defending champs, won first place in the Fourth Battalion, beating out Rockville Centre, Malverne, East Rockaway, and Lakeview Fire Departments.  Lynbrook’s Juniors also took home the first place trophy. 

In the Southern New York awards, Lynbrook took the trophy for second place overall while the Juniors took home another first place trophy.  The Chief congratulates the department, ladies, and the Juniors, for their fine showing.
