On May 12, 2007, the Lynbrook Fire Department held their Annual Installation and Dinner Dance at the Marriot in Uniondale.  Lynbrook Mayor Brian Curran, a member of Hose Company, swore in Fire Chief Robert Occhipinti, First Assistant John O"Reilly, Second Assistant Kevin Bien, and Third Deputy Raymond Burke.  Chief Occhipinti then swore in the officers for the six companies and the Floodlight Unit. 

Also at the dinner, immediate past Chief, Keith Festa, was presented with his late father's Ex-Chief's badge by former Lynbrook Mayor Eugene Scarpato and Keith's mom, Kathy.  Former Mayor Scarpato was also presented his badge as an Honorary Fire Chief by Chief Occhipinti. 

Additionally Ex-Chief Duke Maffucci was honored for his 50 years of service and Captain Chris Kelly of Engine Company was honored as Firefighter of the Year for the rescue of a family on Horton Avenue in 2006.
